Stories for Inverell Pioneer Village Museum
Inverell Pioneer Village Museum
The Inverell Pioneer Village Museum is located in the town of Inverell, on Gamilaraay Country, in the Northern Tablelands region of New South Wales.
The museum is made up of a group of historic buildings relocated from across the region, its displays focus on the greater-Inverell district. The buildings and collection are extensive and fascinating.
Among the buildings relocated to the site are the Grove Homestead (1840) build by the Hudson family at Tingha, and Paddy’s Pub (1874), previously located at Stanborough, a small milling town situated just south west of Inverell. The former Inverell Butcher’s Shop (1911) and the Rob Roy Hall are two of the site’s twentieth century buildings.
