The Saumarez Homestead is located in the town of Armidale, on Anaiwan Country, in the New England region of New South Wales.
The heritage jewel of the region, the homestead has formal gardens, historic farm buildings, and a famous collection of 600 heritage roses.
Be transported back to 19th century pastoral life at this former grazing property. Visitors can book a guided tour through the 30-room Edwardian mansion and see a unique collection of Australian colonial furniture and decorative arts relating to the White family’s life in the house.
Stroll through gracefully designed gardens that are beautiful all year round, from rich autumn colours and spring cottage flowers, to the renowned Heritage Rose Garden which is in full bloom during summer.
