Molong Museum and Historical Society

The Molong Museum is located in the village of Molong, on Wiradjuri Country, in the Central West region of New South Wales.

Opened in 1970 and operated by the Molong Historical Society (established 1965), the museum occupies an 1860s stone building that was formerly a hotel, then a doctor’s surgery and flats.

On display, along with the restored building, are photos and artefacts of local importance, including medical instruments from the former doctor’s surgery and artefacts associated with the nearby Fairbridge Farm, a ‘farm school’ established to train immigrant children from Britain to perform agricultural work.
