Port Macquarie Museum

The Port Macquarie Museum is located in the town of Port Macquarie, on Birpai Country, in the Mid-North Coast region of New South Wales.

Since 1957, this award winning museum has told the stories of those that made Port Macquarie special. From the town’s origins as the traditional land of the Birpai people, to the beginning of a British penal settlement in 1821, through to the popular tourist and sea-change destination seen today.
