Tamworth Regional Gallery

Tamworth Regional Gallery is located in the city of Tamworth, on Kamilaroi / Gomeroi Country, in the New England North West region of New South Wales.

It is one of the oldest regional galleries in the state. It established with an initial gift of 100 works from Australian artist John Salvana in 1919. Today, the gallery occupies a large purpose-built facility constructed in 2004 by Tamworth Regional Council.

Among its collections is the Burdekin Collection, the Regan Silverware Collection, the Utopia Collection Bequest and the nationally acclaimed Tamworth Fibre Textile Collection. The Gallery hosts a busy program of touring exhibitions, education programs, events and workshops, along with the Tamworth Textile Triennial.
