From a young age Debbie remembers reading secretly under the covers by torchlight, way after lights out. To this day she will read a book every day or so.
The written word has come easily to Debbie and she credits a wonderful grounding in language to her early schooldays, in an era when separate lessons were given for English elocution, Grammar, Literature and Poetry.
As an adult Debbie has handled professional medical society newsletters, staff newsletters, annual reports, obituaries, general correspondence and Board minutes…..years and years of those!
As a Volunteer for the National Trust (NSW) Debbie is enjoying a ‘breath of fresh air’ in bringing to life the snippets of the past, each so fascinating in their own way, hopefully presented with a degree of interest to the reader.
