Megan is a museum professional living on Dja Dja Wurrung Country in northern Victoria.
She has worked in the Australian museums and galleries sector for over twenty-five years, initially at the major institutions Museums Victoria, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Koorie Heritage Trust. As a consultant, she has also worked with small and regional museums and with collecting organisations such as local government and corporate collections. Her work has focused on collection management, exhibition development, and assessing significance.
Academically trained as an art historian, Megan has post-graduate qualifications in Museum Studies and a PhD in Cultural Heritage/Arts Management. In 2014, as a Winston Churchill Fellow, Megan studied best practice at leading museums and galleries in the United States.
