Stories for Lake Tabourie Museum
Lake Tabourie Museum
Lake Tabourie Museum is located on the shores of Lake Tabourie, on Yuin Country, south of Ulladulla in the Illawarra region of New South Wales.
The museum features the eclectic personal collection of local anthropologist and adventurer Jack Nicholson (1908-1996), who opened the museum in 1965.
On display throughout the museum are curated collections of Australian rural life, snakes, spiders, minerals, fossils and shells, and an array of curious and nostalgic historical items. Jack also had a keen interest in war-time memorabilia, which is also on display in the museum.
